One thing I found that really helps you stay on track and look and sound professional is to have an outline in front of you in big bold print to refer to while making your video. Place it on a clipboard right in front of you so it looks like you are looking directly at the person seeing it. This way you have a track to run on and sound much more professional. The other tip is to make a 3 to 5 minute training video and count the um and the and ums you have. If yours is anything like my first one it will blow you away how many times you say both of those. The very best way is to practice, practice, practice. When you are pleased with your performance then put it out. You do want to wait and make sure you are happy with it is because it is part of your personal branding and you want it to show you in the best light possible. Good luck

Hi Jenn,

Or another option to eliminate the self conscious video jitters is to be a <a href="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2340/2269527899_7ef94b7a18.jpg?v=0" rel="nofollow"> masked marketer </a>

Like anything else initially doing videos is like is not enjoyable or well done. My initial video weren't very good. There are still not perfect. Everyone need to remember we are not about perfection we are about taking action, review the results, adjusting then taking more action...

Thanks for all you do Jenn.

You have a choice so, make it a better than terrific day!

I made my first (and only) video capture page recently. Received great suggestions, comments, and advice from the most awesome community around! It felt liberating and empowering knowing that at the very beginning I never thought I would actually DO IT! If you haven't done it yet, I'm sure that you will. Who says you have to put it out there? Just do it to get the feeling. That way you will get some experience and become more comfortable the more you do it. And...have fun! :)

Nice post. Video marketing is an effective way to do marketing. First time marketers who does video marketing can be shy and conscious with their video but eventually it will help to overcome their fear and improve them self as well.

You are my first inspiration on YouTube! I am slow to learn, but soon I will be following in your footsteps! I like the idea of a screen shot! I think that will be a nice variety to use on my blog - and the price is right! But for now, I'll get a video camera and practice sharing on youtube! You suggested choosing a strategy - I'm going to make viedo a big part of my strategy -

I agree with Annie. I'm really being pushed W - A - Y out of my comfort zone and in fact it's helping me to see ME in a new way and allowing myself to fall in love what other people have been looking at all this time. Finding ways to exhibit deeper self love and acceptance is always a good experience.
Great for the soul. Hope I get it right and it ends up being good for my business too!

Hey Jenn,

Greet post.

I know many people struggle with video. I know I did but I just kept at it and they get better the more I do it. I also like screen capture videos they are much easier to edit out the goof ups :-). At first I didn't think they would be as powerful but I find that screen capture can be more attractive to a prospect because they don’t automatically disqualify themselves with the thought that they could never be on camera.

Thanks again.
