About Jenn

Jenn Lawlor

Hi.

My name is Jenn. I’m a wife, a homeschooling mom to three active boys, and an obsessive marketer.

I like chocolate, wild places, wild food, eating at home, sailing in remote Alaska, laughing, and living life on my own terms and schedule. I grew-up in Toronto, the great Canadian city. Sometimes I wake up in the morning and think, “How did I ever come to live in a little old cabin by the sea in Alaska with a bearded Alaskan, and three growing boys? Why am I surrounded by so many guys?” It’s a pretty cool thing, really. Life is interesting. And Wilma the cat helps me balance all the males, at least a little.

That picture above is from a couple of years ago. You won’t find me on this—my personal blog— near as much as my new marketing training platform. It’s call The Marketer’s Apprentice. It’s a better place to stay in touch with me, and I promise all sorts of marketing goodness over there.

  • Questions, ideas, or personal comments? Please contact me.
  • You can also find me running around on Twitter and Facebook (links of course.)

Thanks for stopping by. If you’re running into any challenges with your marketing, I hope you’ll shoot me a note over at TheMarketersApprentice.com

Jenn, what service do you use to build this website?

I use the Wordpress theme, Thesis:

http://budurl.com/gkfg

Maybe as an advanced part of our working together I can do a workshop on customizing sites with this Theme – it rocks for several reasons. I’ll fill you in more later…but let me mull over the infinite possibilities of what is in store for all of us!

Hi Jenn,

what is a good software or way to build you own websites.
Best Regards

I host my site on Wordpress.org – this is a software that I install on my server (scary, eh?)

If there is interest from others (let me know!) I will include a workshop on how to create a personal branded website using Wordpress.org

It’s a wee bit techy, but if I move through things step by step, I think that everyone can get it – and the best part about it is that it’s mostly free!

Jenn:

That would be great to have a workshop….step by step…on creating a personal branded website with Wordpress.org.

Jenn-

Is it a separately hosted wordpress blog? i went through the process to get a hosted blog set up, but now I don’t understand why I couldn’t have just as easily done it on wordpress.com or blogger? Is it a question of SEO, looking professional or what?

Hi Jenn,

I was wondering, will you be explaining in your own training webinars a little more indepth about the how to’s of PPC and video marketing?

Similar to how you conducted the 4 part training series, or is it through the PPC Mastery Course the only way your promoting it?

Hey Carmen,

I’m no pro with PPC :) In fact, I’m taking the course myself right now. I can run successful campaigns, but I generally have someone manage them for me (my hero Paul).

So, I COULD put together something in more depth, but I really do feel that there are better places to learn PPC than from me. The Mastery course is one such options, as is everything that Perry Marshall offers.

Jonathan is going to be re-launching the course for 24 hours only I’ve heard recently since there are so many people who’ve requested that since they missed it the first go around.

Also, Carmen, you’re welcome to join our team PPC mastermind session which you’ll be hearing more about shortly.

I saw your request for an editor on the COW. I responded then dug a little deeper and found your site. Very nice. How do you find time to do it and home school two little ones? I office out of my home and it’s a battle!
Kind regards,

Hi Jenn,

What program do you recommend to get started right?
Are you using Jonathan Budd system? or dou you have your own?
What is PPC people have been referring to on your page?

Thanks for your contribution.
